"Divers Nook": Events in planing Touring Art Exhibition
A major audiovisual art exhibition of OCEAN LIFE is planned to tour the major cities of the world with the focus on saving coral reefs and preserving our oceans. The exhibition will be
made up of contributions by artists from OCEANGUARD supporters, some being major names. A feature of the exhibition will be a 60 x 8ft mural of reef life by Sydney artist, Frants Kantor. Any artist interested in contributing to this exhibition, please write, fax or e-mail to "Artist":
Ocean's Treasure Chest Display
A major fund-raising Marine Display is to be organized in Sydney by OCEANGUARD to coincide with the 2000 Olympic Games. The exhibition entitled "Ocean's Treasure Chest" will be made
up of a collection of artifacts from wrecks both famous and less known. From archaeological sites dating back to the birth of modern man. Also souvenirs of war and diving apparatuses
through history. Fossils from the prehistoric age, rare marine specimens, eggs, shells etc.This will be one of the most ambitious Marine Displays ever mounted. The display may go on a
world tour of the principal cities - another OCEANGUARD initiative to fund the rescue of the Great Barrier Reef and fight other ocean environmental battles.

A series of music concerts are planned to be played simultaneously in a number of countries around the world, to promote the preservation of our oceans. Sections of each concert will
made into one programme and beamed by satellite around the globe. The programme will be called "REEFAID THE CONCERT. This will help fund OCEANGUARD's

A new animation series is in development, which is based around a goofy bunch of marine characters that inhabit a small coral reef which is under threat. Characters such as GRUMPY
the Grouper, MONTY the Manta Ray, POP the Porcupine Fish, ANGEL the Angel Fish, YAKKA the Parrot Fish, WHITEY the White Shark and COCO the Clown Fish are also the mascots and
